chili

Chilli is one of the Texans’ favorite dishes, savored in different ways across the state. Traditionally, the dish takes beans, tomatoes, cheese, and pepper, but it can take ingredients like corn.

Barbecue

Texas is the land of American barbecue! Both the cutting and the preparation of the meats are done differently. The most popular cut in the state is the beef brisket, simmered for 8 to 10 hours. Some Texans often add wood to the charcoal to add a smoky touch to the meat. The most common side dishes are potato salad, green beans, and corn cream.

 

New York

Pastrami

Pastrami is one of the most consumed meats in the state, being a cut of the brisket. The meat is cured, smoked, and steamed with various spices that leave it with a tasty crust.

The most traditional American dessert has its version in New York: the New York Cheesecake. In addition to the cream cheese filling, the cookie dough, and the icing, this version also takes sour cream or heavy cream to become denser.

Donut

The enormous Jewish community in New York made the bagel gain breakfast space for every New Yorker. Bagel is a round bread baked and baked with a hole in the middle, served with cream cheese or another ingredient.

The official Florida pie, Key Lime Pie, is made with cream, juice of small lemons, crackers, egg yolks, and the traditional meringue.

Cuban Sandwich

Cuban Sandwich reflects the high number of Cuban immigrants in the region in 1960. The popular delicacy is made with Swiss cheese, roasted ham, pickles, mustard, and salami.

 

Illinois

Pizza

Illinois pizza is unmistakable and comes in several versions: deep-dish, pie-shaped, and filled with cheese and tomato sauce; the stuffed, similar but with a second layer of dough and the thin-crust of crunchy dough cut into square pieces.

Hot dog

The classic hot dog of the state takes sausage made with 100% beef, yellow mustard, chopped white onion, pickles, tomatoes, pepper, and celery salt in poppy seed bread.

Italian Beef Sandwich

Dipped in the fat of roast beef, the Italian Beef Sandwich is plentifully filled with thin slices of meat, accompanied by peppers or vegetable pickles in Italian bread.
